To respond quickly and effectively to any and all emergencies and requests for assistance. The volunteer men and women of the Swedesburg Volunteer Fire Company will always endeavor to perform their duty of protecting the lives and property of the community with pride and honor."

Members Recognized for Life Saving Efforts

At this past Thursdays Township Board of Directors Meeting, members of the Upper Merion Public Safety Department were recognized for their life saving efforts over the past year. Five members of Swedesburg Volunteer Fire Company were recognized for their efforts on November 7th , 2025.

Busy Start to Spring!

From Monday March 30th to Monday April 6th, members of Swedesburg Volunteer Fire Company responded to 29 emergency calls. Part of this was due to the week of the 30th being our turn in the weekly Township Duty Crew program that staffs the station from 6:00PM till 6:00 AM Monday-Friday, as well as all day Saturday and Sunday, to answer calls in Upper Merion Township and surrounding communities when ... New Rescue Tools

Adopt A Hydrant

When snow piles up, fire hydrants can become buried and difficult for firefighters to access during an emergency. Just a few minutes of delay can make a big difference when every second counts.
Last night members set out and reviewed the first due of the Township and dug out 25 hydrants that were still snow buried from last weekends storm!

Boater Operations Certifications

This past weekend, five members completed their PA Boat and Fish Commission's Boater Operations Certification. Saturday consisted of classroom portion and Sunday was hands on practicals.
