Today remains busy for members after a 2 alarm fire this morning, shortly after 1:45 PM Swedesburg, Squad 56 & Medic 356 (Upper Merion Township Fire & EMS) were alerted to a vehicle accident with injuries at S. Henderson Rd and Monroe Blvd. Callers reported a three vehicle accident that included a bus. While units were enroute the assignment was upgraded to a vehicle rescue for one subject trapped inside one of the vehicles. Safety 56-3 (Houseal) arrived and confirmed one entrapped and established command. Rescue 56-3 and Squad 56 arrived and worked together to stabilize the vehicle and remove one by taking the driver side of the vehicle. Due to multiple patients, additional medic units from 308 (Plymouth Community Ambulance Association - Medic 308) were requested to the scene. A total of three patients were transported to area hospitals for treatment. The Rescue was completed within fifteen minutes. |
