This morning shortly before 8:30 AM, Upper Merion Township Fire & EMS along with units from Berwyn Fire Company and Bridgeport Fire Department were dispatched to a Building Fire at the Lafayette At Valley Forge Apartment Complex. Squad 56 arrived and confirmed a working fire on the fifth floor. Squirt 56 and Rescue 56-3 made the response from Swedesburg.

Squirt 56 arrived as the second due engine, securing the water supply for Squad 56. Squirt 56’s crew along with Chester Engine 2-2 stretched a second attack line and conducted searches. Rescue 56-3 arrived as the cascade unit and filled 12 SCBA bottles. Swedesburg units were clear of the scene by 10:00 AM.
