On Thursday, October 21st at 16:00 Station 56-C was dispatched to a commercial building fire in the area of Saulin Blvd. Upon arrival Deputy 56-3 reported smoke showing. Engine 56-3 and Engine 56 arrived on scene as the first in engines within 8 minutes of the initial dispatch shortly followed by Quint 31. It was found that a 15-20 foot trash pile was on fire leading to sprinkler activation. Multiple lines were put into service along with several master streams including Engine 56-3’s Snozzle. The fire was placed under control within 50 minutes. No injuries were reported. Thank you to all the mutual aid units that assisted on scene and covered Upper Merion Township during the incident.
